11 Things....

Here are the “rules”:
Write 11 random things about yourself.
Answer 11 questions.(well, someones gotta ASK ME first!)
Ask 11 questions.
Here we go…

11 random things about me:

1. I hate milk. I guess I drank it as a kid, but for as long as I can remember I have HATED milk. But I have it in cereal, coffee, I love yogurt, cheese, froyo.... but no milk. Not even chocolate.

2. I love Jane Austen & am certain that in another lifetime, I was one of her characters. I love her commentary on women in society, love, marriage, friendship & life (even tho some of it is so not P.C, I find it quaint.) And I'd love to drink tea and walk around gardens all day.
3. I always said I would never get married until I was 25. How funny is life that I met my husband at 19, but will be getting married at 25, without planning it that way.
4. I talk about poop all the time. Yeah, I have no filter, and talk about poop a lot. To anyone who will listen. I talk about how often I poop (a lot!), what it looks like, and I'm looking for that special someone that I could proudly send a pic of a really good one to. Just saying.
5. I have an obsession with tea. I find the art of boiling water, selecting a tea, brewing the tea all so calming. I have an entire cabinet at home (AND at work) with different kinds of tea. Green, black, white, you name it I love it. Thank GOD it's healthy!
6. I'm a pretty empathetic person. It is sometimes exhausting, but I find that I naturally try and put myself in other people's shoes a lot. I am not always right or spot on, but I think people appreciate it just the same. Then again, other times I am eerily accurate. I think it's an important exercise to do, and I value this trait in myself & others.
7. I have a chicken pox scar on my face that I have a love/hate relationship with. It was the first pock, and it left a white scar above my lips. Sometimes people think I have something on my face and try to brush it away. But hey, it's just a tiny scar, and I don't know if I would recognize myself without it.
8. I totally believe that the moons affect our moods. Or I just like not being responsible for my atrocious bad moods/cranky pants. Either way.
9. I LOVE healthy foods. Fruits, veggies, whole grains, fish, you name it, I love it. Could absolutely live without bread (I know I know! Shocking!) and have had a spinach salad for lunch for the past 2 months and love it. BUT, my favorite junk foods are: twizzlers, diet dr. pepper, bbq chips, skittles, sour patch watermelons & charleston chews (vanilla). Omg yum.
10. I have been told that I have "lipstick lips". They have that little bow shaped upper lip thingy going on. If lipstick lips means that putting on lipstick is difficult because you can't just swipe it on (because you have this cute little dippy bow thing), then yes. Yes I do.
11. I am so over Facebook/pinterest, and blogging is getting there. Facebook is irritating (I either don't care what is going on in your life, or I want to tell people my news MYSELF, not on a newsfeed broadcast!), EVERYONE is on pinterest pinning the same stuff, and now all bloggers are looking the same. C'mon girls, stop wearing your hair in a high top knot bun with your big geeky glasses and bold colors. You aren't different anymore, you are all looking the same.

  1. Eeeeee I love these things! Yay! Ok, here we go....

    1. What was your favorite childhood TV show?
Who's the Boss & Step by Step

    2. When is your birthday, how old are you, and how do you feel about it?
March 10 - just turned 25 and am surprisingly really excited! Not feeling old or young, just right! Looking forward to the year to come and feeling quite optimistic.

    3. What’s the best vacation you’ve ever taken?
I see vacations and trips as not necessary the same things. Favorite vacation? My family went to a villa in Jamaica and it was absolutely the most relaxing thing ever. Favorite trip? Backpacking through Chile & Argentina for 3 weeks.

    4. Where did you go to college? Did you like it? Love it? Hate it?
Boston University. I have a love-hate relationship with my college experience. Overall, gotta say I loved it since I made some of my best friends there!

    5. If you could choose only one candy bar at the checkout line in the
grocery store, which one would you choose?
I'm a sucker for Dove Chocolate bars - plain old milk chocolate does a girl good.

    6. Have you ever met someone famous?
Yes! I met Johnny Knoxville on my 22nd birthday, and he was celebrating his birthday at the table next to me at dinner. We did a birthday tequila shot together!

    7. Do you prefer dresses or pants?
Leggings! But ok, if I must stick to those two.. I'll go with dresses. They juts have so much more potential to be cute! :)

    8. Do you have any siblings? Older/younger? Are you close?
I have only older sister - and we are best friends. We used to fight all the time, and I would say I hated her.. and our mom would say "You just wait.. you'll be best friends some day" and I didn't believe her. What can I say -- Mom is always right.

    9. If you could go back to your younger years and relive one experience,
    what would you do again?
Hmmm... this is tough because much of my "younger years" contain experiences I would not wish to relive - aka high school. But if I could do something again it'd probably be playing on a sports team. I miss the camaraderie of a team environment. Plus I was in waaay better shape back then!

    10. What do you wish you were more of? Less of?
I wish I had more self-discipline, especially when it comes to my diet and exercise. And I wish I were less of a control freak! I envy those hippy folks who just "go with the flow." Hah!

    11. What are you most excited about in your life, RIGHT NOW?
I'm most excited about my career at the moment, which is crazy because I have never had that feeling before. I love my job, I love the people I work with, and I'm actually progressing in a field that I love -- the travel industry! As much as "work" never really excited me in the past... I'm really happy to finally be in a position that doesn't actually feel like work!

Oh, I'm also madly excited about being in this super fabulous wedding in September... you know the one... ;)

  2. 1. What was your favorite childhood TV show?
-Spongebob- Hands down. I saw the first episode air for the first time and was addicted ever since. I was in 6th grade.. so its not EXACTLY a *childhood* show.. but.. whatevs. :)
    2. When is your birthday, how old are you, and how do you feel about it?
August 26.. 24 days away from being 24. Ugh.. thats like almost 25 which is almost 30. I always said when I was younger, 24 would be MY year and I would stay that age forever- so thats my plan.
    3. What’s the best vacation you’ve ever taken?
DISNEY DISNEY DISNEY. Its the happiest place on earth! (I know you can relate to this!)
    4. Where did you go to college? Did you like it? Love it? Hate it?
WE went to UMASS boston. It was okay. If I could go back I would go elsewhere- like a school for makeup or fashion. BUT it was where I met you- so I love it for that reason. <3
    5. If you could choose only one candy bar at the checkout line in the grocery store, which one would you choose?
    Twix... mmmmmmm
    6. Have you ever met someone famous?
YES! I met Ami from NY Ink, Corey Miller from LA Ink, Mike Portnoy (famous drummer), Geezer Butler (bass player from Black Sabbath), A couple of the guys from the band Mastodon, Avenged Sevenfold (band), the Bassist from a band called Lamb of God, Fat Mike from the band NOFX, and Kevin Youkilis.
    7. Do you prefer dresses or pants?
    Can I pick skirts?? :)
    8. Do you have any siblings? Older/younger? Are you close?
I have one older brother who is 6 years older than me. We are very close and always have been.
    9. If you could go back to your younger years and relive one experience, what would you do again?
Spending time at my Uncles house. They were twins who lived in the same house that my dad and them grew up in. They had a jacuzzi inside their living room, and always had the newest technology (I remember when DVDs first came out and they were all excited.) I just always loved being there- simple joys spending time with family.
    10. What do you wish you were more of? Less of?
I wish there were more kind hearted, happy people and less people who take advantage of others and are miserable all the time. Being a server, I find myself saying "Wow, that table was actually really nice- what a nice change from your typical miserable, ungrateful guests." Also, take a page from your facebook status updates from friends- Mine consists of people complaining over and over and over- (although, I'm slowly deleting people that consistently are putting up depressing statuses.
    11. What are you most excited about in your life, RIGHT NOW?
Watching my best friend get married. I know it sounds cheesy, and I'm not trying to score brownie points here- but I have seen this relationship grow for 4 years and I couldn't be happier to see the final result come to something as beautiful as marriage. Its a little more than a month away- and I am counting down the days to be standing up at the altar with my bestest best friend and watching her marry the man of her dreams!! EEEKKK!!!! :) :)
    Love you!
